"…One of the most wonderful spaces I have ever worked in. Whilst many buildings deplete, this one distinctly raises energy…spaciousness, lighting, shape and materials mean you cannot ever be unaware of the ‘goodness’ and ‘well-being’ of the environment." Caroline Latham, Workshop Leader and Author

a sustainable venue
A remarkable, purpose-built zero-carbon conference and events venue. The design fuses cutting-edge technology and ancient building techniques. Depending on the weather and the time of day the centre lights, warms or cools delegates without using one scrap of carbon.
Re-use: The walls are made from chalk reclaimed from the excavation of the site.
Recycle: Tiles used in the timbrel-vaulted roof were made out of waste clay salvaged from local quarrying.
Reduce: Sourcing materials locally reduces transport costs and the energy used in construction.
