Located on the first floor, the light and spacious domed Upper Roundel features rammed chalk walls and a crescent roof light that optimises natural light within the space. With its wonderful Catalan inspired dome ceiling and recovered Japanese Maple wooden floor, this space offers a stylish area to inspire your delegates. Flooded with natural light during the day, this area always has a positive influence on its visitors.
The Upper Roundel has direct access to the exclusive Pines Calyx terrace; this is able to accommodate a marquee should your event need extra flexibility. As well as views of the tranquil Pines Garden from the Upper Roundel, the terrace affords views of the English Channel, stretching into the horizon.

a sustainable venue
The rammed chalk walls and timbrel-vaulted roof tiles replace an estimated 75 cubic meters of reinforced concrete.
Beneath the rockery garden and terrace which can be viewed from the upper rounder is an earth tube which naturally warms air drawn into it to provide a balanced ambient temperature inside the venue.
